What is the time frame for the procedure and will I need more than one?

To achieve maximum results 4-6 treatments are recommended at 2-4 week intervals. Acne patients should return every 14 days for 6 treatments. Once desired results are achieved, maintenance treatments are recommended every 1-2 months. To better retain your results a quality skincare line will be recommended to follow up with at home.

What can I expect before the treatment?

There are no complicated pretreatment rituals with this procedure. Prior to treatment be sure to remove any contact lenses and alert the Doctor or Aesthetician of any medical or skin conditions, especially cold sores, use of Accutane, recent peels, or other facial procedures.

What results to expect after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment you will experience some minor redness. The redness typically lasts only a couple hours. Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic with visible results that are subtle yet noticeable. You can expect to immediately return to normal activities. If sun exposure is necessary you need to use a good sunscreen. Only use a mild cleanser and extra rich moisturizer for 5-7 days after treatment.

Is MicroPeel right for me?

Although most skin types can be treated, you can not be treated if any of the following apply to you:

  • If you are using Accutane or have used Accutane within 6 months.
  • If you have a history of frequent cold sores.
  • If you are pregnant or lactating.

How much does it cost?

MicroPeel:
Procedure time approximately 30 minutes. Procedure cost $60.00

MicroPeel with Dermaplaning:
Procedure time approximately 60 minutes. Procedure cost $85.00

  • MicroPeel - A glycolic acid peel for prematurely aged skin and environmentally damaged skin
  • MicroPeel for Sensitive Skin - A 2% lactic acid peel for those with delicate skin and sensitivity issues.
  • MicroPeel Plus - A Salicylic acid peel for active acne, acne prone and over production of oil.
  • Dermaplaning - Gentle scraping of the superficial skin to remove dead cells and unwanted hair. Dermaplaning is a great way to remove the "peach fuzz" hair, however it is not recommend for dark course hair. An exclusive procedure by BioMedic since 1991 .
